In this blog post we shall discuss the trends for both men and women for the Autumn season. This generally consists of larger coats, thicker shirts and more good looking fresh clothes.
Let's start off with the colours of different outfits; we have noticed there there are very earthy colours mixed with a few deep blues and purples for this time of year. Here is a full list of the best colours for this Autumn: Emerald, Mykonos Blue, Linden Green, Acai, Samba, Koi, Deep Lichen Green, Vivacious, Turbulence and Carafe.
Now that summer is over, it's time to put away our sandals and strappy heels and trade them in for brogues and boots. Boots are always the sensible choice for autumn and winter and, this year, there are a range of designs and colours appearing throughout stores along the high street. If you're looking for a comfortable flat, brogues are the choice this autumn.
As the weather is due to change, long, tighter maxi skirts and smart trousers are coming back in fashion. You will see all different colours and styles on the high street this autumn, along with plaid skirts and striped pants. Whether you're heading to work or hitting the town, smart pants and long skirts will fit right in.
Long sleeved tops and dresses are also huge on the high street this autumn, with eccentric printed patterns and bright, bold colours. Just because autumn is on its way, it doesn't mean we have to tone it down! We're also due to see a range of stylish faux fur jackets and oversized coats, which go well with bodycon tops and dresses. Also, check out printed jumpers as they are increasing in popularity, not only in the male fashion industry but also in female fashion.
We're seeing much of the same colours as the women's collection, with a little less brown and green and more blues, greys and light greens. Here's the full list: Deep Lichen Green, Mykonos Blue, Carafe, Acai, Samba, Emerald, Linden Green, Beaujolais, Turbulence and Koi.
Clarks Desert boots are always a good option. A standard for male fashion, these provide great protection on the feet, are good quality and always look good with a pair of dark jeans or chinos. You could also go with dark boat shoes or some leather boots.
The standard Levis 711s are always a good bet, however, in Autumn you can whip out the chinos. Dark slim chinos or slim khaki's are perfect with a dark jumper and scarf. If you're feeling a little adventurous, you could go for some plaid trousers or brightly coloured chinos. Raw or dark denim is always a good bet though.
Stick to the staple plaid, chambray shirt and Oxford button down shirt with a little styling. You will be using a lot of layering in the Autumn and Winter, unless you choose a thick plaid shirt for the bottom layer, then you might get away with a light jacket.
Knitwear is always big in Autumn, with layered knitted jumpers, knitted ties and scarves being all big in this season. But be careful - don't over do the knitwear. With coats and jumpers, you need to get stuck in to layering. A nice plaid shirt, knitted jumper and duffle coat, along with a nice scarf.
The image album below will give you some great inspiration for coats, shirts and jumpers along with the rest of your wardrobe.
No Autumn outfit is complete without a cool leather satchel or interestingly patterned scarf. If you are feeling adventurous, you could go with leather gloves, along with a long sleeve brown jacket.
